The Steal from the Best Contest

Rules:

• We’ve chosen some of our favorite lines from our favorite movies.  Each submission must contain one of the seven phrases below.  Pick one per submission.
  
  
  • “I didn’t know the meaning of fear until I kissed Becky.”
    
    
  • “Uh, we had a slight weapons malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?”
    
    
  • “Don't say that you're more sorry than I am, because I'm capable of being just as sorry as you are…”
    
    
  • “Murderers are the best I think; they’re so polite.”
    
    
  • “Just forget you ever saw it. It's better that way.”
    
    
  • “I'm going to rest my eyes for a moment. But go on. I am listening...”
    
    
  • “I hate it when someone gives away the ending.”
    
    
• Each submission must be between 800 and 2500 words long.
• Fees:

  $10.00 for up to two submissions per person. 
  $15.00 for 3 to 5 submissions per person.
  

• Original, unpublished work. (Be aware that if you simultaneous submit, your piece could be rejected if it is published before the end of the contest or before the contest anthology is in print.  We only want previously unpublished work.) 
• Entries may be submitted via the website using the form below which links to Paypal (one of the safest way to pay on the internet - no one sees your passwords but you!), or you may email an entry directly to the judges at contest08@hazelst.com in the body of the email or email an MSWord or txt attachment.

The top winning entries will be published at www.HazelSt.com. The winning entries will also be published in an anthology.  So make sure you share this info with other writer friends. All winners will receive two copies of the anthology (one to keep and one to give away!).  All winners will be able to purchase additional copies at ½ the price of the public price!  Hazel Street only asks for 1st rights with an option to go to additional printings if demands are great.  There may be honorable mentions granted depending on the number of entries. If we do go to press, some editing may occur in the entries we receive.

Each person who enters will receive one copy of the anthology.
Write well and you may be one of the winners included in its pages!
